Three types of visual model are available:
When an airport is selected, the Navigation Data Tool (NDT) software determines which type of model is associated with the airport and the visual display updates accordingly.
This page provides control of the generic model and allows you to change the features displayed at an airport which has an associated generic model. It will not allow you to change a specific or tailored generic model.
At a GENERIC scene in AUTO mode the selection displayed will be dependent on the configuration set–up in the offline NDT software. This could either be a fixed value or a ’Best Fit’ selection to the real world data.
At a GENERIC scene when MANUAL mode is selected, the value remains at the AUTO value until changed.
Repositioning to any GENERIC, or a different runway at the same GENERIC, will trigger a new scene to be constructed.
While in AUTO mode, changing the active generic runway (without repositioning) will rebuild the scene, but not while the aircraft is on the ground.
